Product Details
Santosh was inspired to design all of her favorite elements in this rug. She wanted to travel the road less travelled, and instead of designing objects that she would often observe in the village, she allowed her mind to wander. A true Manchaha! In symmetrical and organized patterns, the weaver has woven designs of leheriya and polka dots along with a huge shakarpara design in the middle, which is highlighted by colorful strips in the background. She emphasizes that she used blue on this rug because it is her favorite color. Since this carpet became a tribute to all things that Santosh loves in her life, she felt that it was ideal to name this rug after something that she is the most fond of, so she named this rug Palak, which means 'spinach,' and is representative of her favorite dish.
