How to Clean a Spill From Your Stain Resistant Rug

Act quickly for best results. To clean, avoid rubbing the affected area of your rug. Instead, gently place a clean tissue or absorbent cloth over the spill to soak up the liquid. Simply remove the cloth or tissue and repeat the process until the area is fully absorbed. Finally, use a clean, damp cloth or tissue to wipe away any remaining traces of the spill.

Our Stain Resistant Coating is safe for materials like wool, silk, cotton, jute, sisal, and hemp. The service is available as an add-on for all our products excluding those made with polyester.

Technically, our Stain Resistant Coating is permanent because the Nano-tech coating bonds to each individual fiber. However, because of regular abrasion and wear & tear, the coating will become less effective after a year of continued use.

No. At this time, we are not equipped to receive and apply (or reapply) Stain Resistance Coating.

Our Stain Resistant Coating is invisible and is applicable on all textile surfaces, both natural & synthetic. It will make no changes to the look and feel of your rug.

If a strong detergent is used or material is sent for dry cleaning; the effect of the coating will be reduced. Using hand soap/detergents over the material will also decrease the stain resistance effect and is not recommended.

The stain-resistant coating protects your rug from the usual liquid spills including tea, coffee, green tea, wine, soda, ketchup and other water-based stains.

Our stain resistance coating is OekoTex Certified. This certification means that it has been tested against a list of up to 350 potentially harmful chemicals and that it meets or exceeds GLOBAL regulations. Here is a link to the Safety Data Sheet provided by the manufacturer. Jaipur Living has taken the additional step of testing this solution at an independent lab to verify the findings.

Our Stain Resistance Coating has a 2-year limited warranty. This warranty covers treated rugs against permanent stains for a duration of 2 years from the date of application. This means that if a treated rug is properly cared for and still experiences a stain that cannot be removed by a professional cleaner, Jaipur Living will reimburse the cost of cleaning or repair, up to the value of the Stain Resistance treatment.
