Product Details
The Eden collection pairs fresh, vibrant colors with provincial Persian motifs for the perfect blend of new and time-honored. This hand-knotted wool rug features a hand-sheared quality that lends the design a perfectly vintage and a lovingly worn look. The earthy tones of the Varteni rug provide an inviting and grounding accent to any heavily trafficked and well-lived rooms in the home. The trellis framework design incorporates floral detailing, Oushak motifs, and an elegant, thin border in hues of blue, gray, and tan on an ivory background. These traditional patterns mixed with modern colors lends an updated traditional style to this artisan-made piece. Expertly crafted with 30 knots per inch, the short, 100% wool pile proves naturally stain resistant and easy to clean. Obtaining both a Nest Seal and RugMark certification, this global area rug brings ethical, handmade luxury to the home.

Please Note: All sizes are nominal, accepted variance is +/- 3". Listed Pantone colors are close approximations of the colors used in our rugs. A single yarn can be represented by several Pantone shades, and therefore, Pantones should not be used to determine the number of colors in a rug. Due to the nature of this wool, colors may vary slightly rug to rug.

Quality Construction

In a meticulous 10-step process, crafting a single hand-knotted rug takes months to complete. With some designs boasting over one million knots, this intricate artistry and precision are upheld by a dedicated community of 50,000+ highly skilled artisans in India.

How it's made: On a loom set up with warps, an artisan ties individual knots on each warp thread, going line by line. Once a line is complete, it is locked in place with a thread of weft, before the next line of knotting begins.

Wool

Nature's answer to durability. Known for its performance-like qualities, yielding durability and strength, wool is naturally resistant to stains. We source our wool from sheep sheared ethically and humanely in India as a natural part of their health and maintenance routine. As a sustainable and renewable resource, it’s sourced from sheep that regenerate their fleece annually. Wool’s natural insulating properties and inherent stain and odor resistance make it an eco-friendly, premium choice for various applications.

Did you know: Wool fibers have a unique crimp structure that traps pockets of air, providing both insulation and breathability, making it a versatile choice for any occasion.
