Meet The Team
Asha Chaudhary
President and Chief Executive Officer
For Asha Chaudhary, president and CEO of Jaipur Living, the rug industry is deeply personal. Growing up in India, she watched her father, N.K. Chaudhary, build Jaipur Rugs on principles of dignity, fairness, and love. Defying societal prejudices, he created opportunities for over 40,000 artisans, many from marginalized communities.
Asha moved to the U.S. in 1997 to attend Emory University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. After returning to India, she immersed herself in the family business, learning every aspect of the supply chain and fostering a deep appreciation for the craft.
In 2008, Asha took over leadership of Jaipur Rugs’ U.S. operations, launching Jaipur Living to bring her father’s vision to the Americas. Under her guidance, the company has expanded its offerings to include pillows, poufs, and throws and has grown its presence with interior designers, retailers, and e-commerce partners.
Asha is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management program and a founding member of the Young Presidents’ Organization Atlanta Chapter. Her mission remains to preserve the art of hand-knotted rugs while creating beautiful lives for artisans, designers, and customers alike.
Archana Chaudhary
Chief Operating Officer
Growing up in India, Archana Chaudhary watched her father, N.K. Chaudhary, build his business, Jaipur Rugs, into India’s largest manufacturer of hand-knotted rugs, employing and giving back to over 40,000 artisans.
Archana joined the Jaipur Rugs in 2003 after graduating from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Chemistry.
In 2008, alongside her sister Asha Chaudhary, she launched Jaipur Living in the U.S., with a mission to bring Jaipur Rugs’ vision to the Americas, connect artisans to the interior design world, and expand the company’s product selection to include pillows, poufs, and throws.
In 2017, Archana was named Jaipur Living’s chief operating officer. As COO, Archana manages the customer success, information technology, inventory planning and replenishment, and distribution center operations departments.
With an eye toward innovation, Archana has led the development of some of Jaipur Living’s key programs and projects, including flat-rate shipping, a more streamlined returns process, the ordering and management process of custom rug pads, the custom modification process, and the exploration of robotic process automation.
Nitesh Chaudhary
Director of Innovation & Supply Chain & Technology
As director of innovation, supply chain and technology, Nitesh Chaudhary splits his time between Jaipur Living’s U.S. office and Jaipur Rugs’ India office. He initiated Jaipur Living’s made-to-order program and drives innovation in the company’s overall supply chain. Chaudhary also focuses on technology strategy to increase efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance the customer experience.
“Being an industry leader, we at Jaipur Living keep challenging ourselves to break benchmarks and set new ones,” he says. “Everyone works together as a family with the common goal to serve our customers’ needs while uplifting the thousands of artisans who work with us.”
Before joining Jaipur Living in 2018, Chaudhary worked for commercial printing and LED lighting start-ups in Boston. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship from Babson College.
