Quality Construction
Handwoven rugs are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring exceptional durability and longevity. The fibers within this construction may be felted or twisted wool yarns, soft and fine viscose, synthetic yarns, or natural fibers. Handwoven rugs usually have low to medium piles and may or may not have a canvas backing. Their high-quality natural fibers and artisanal craftsmanship provide a luxurious texture and feel, making them a timeless and valuable addition to any space.
How it's made: This form of weaving is very similar to textile weaving on a handloom. The warp and weft is much thicker to create a thick fabric, the rug’s yarn is passed through in between the interlocking.
Natural Fibers: Jute
This natural, eco-friendly fiber is known for its strength and durability. It's biodegradable and sustainably harvested, making it an excellent alternative for rugs. With its earthy texture and neutral tones, jute adds a rustic charm to any space while being resilient and cost-effective.
Did you know: Jute is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world, with the ability to reach maturity in just four to six months, making it a sustainable and renewable resource for eco-conscious consumers.
